Spending time with family on Thanksgiving can be an enjoyable experience, but it can also grow dull for younger visitors. Coming up with a Thanksgiving-themed game can be fun for the whole family, especially younger kids. Here are a few fun games to play on Thanksgiving recommended by us here at Plaza Cadillac.
Ring the Pumpkin
Ring the Pumpkin is a game that requires three pumpkins with stems and some sort of hoop. Line up the three pumpkins, then draw a line a few feet back. The goal of the game is to land a hoop around the pumpkin stems. Smaller kids can forego the smaller hoops and try to land a hula-hoop around an entire pumpkin.
Popcorn Toss is a fun game if you don’t mind cleaning up a little mess. Pair up into teams and provide a member of each pair with a cup of popcorn. Set a throwing line and have the teams attempt to throw popcorn into their partner’s mouth. Alternatively, this can be done with cranberries. At the end of the day, you have a fun memory and some popcorn to clean up.
Pass the Corn
Playing Pass the Corn requires two teams and two cobs of dried Indian corn. The goal of the game is to pass the corncob from one person to the next until it reaches the end of the line. Players can use any part of their bodies except for their hands. The first team to get the corncob to the end of their line wins.
