Every year, the Leesburg community comes together to celebrate all that this magical season has to offer. In addition to the Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting held in early December, the Leesburg Christmas parade is always a lot of fun.
This year, the parade brought Santa and all of his friends down King Street through historic downtown Leesburg. The route started at Ida Lee Drive and ended at Fairfax Street. In addition to the parade, there were fabulous Christmas light displays and delicious food.
For even more holiday cheer, try the Jingle Jam Concerts on December 9th that raises money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Or the Sounds of Christmas festival on December 9th and 16th that features horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, and photos with Santa. For the children 8 and under, the Rockin’ with Rudolph and Friends is on December 15th, which is sure to be a hit for the entire family.
Here at Plaza Cadillac, we love celebrating the holidays here in Leesburg. It may not be snowy and cold, but we couldn’t imagine a more festive place to be. Were you able to attend the tree lightning or parade this year? Are you planning to go to any of the other Leesburg holiday events? Let us know in the comments below.
