- The Howey Mansion. Located at 1001 Citrus Avenue in Howey-in-the-Hills, the historic Howey Mansion is an architectural beauty, which was restored by two locals. The historic building now offers tours from Tuesday through Saturday with varying hours. You should plan on spending 1-2 hours inside the mansion.
- The Howey-in-the-Hills Water Tower. While you are in nearby Howey-in-the-Hills, drive by the iconic 85-foot water tower that stands above the town. Because this is a roadside landmark, you can visit the water tower at any time of day for free.
- Dade Battlefield State Historic Park. As long as it is a nice day outside, drive next to Bushnell, Florida, at 7200 Battlefield Parkway to the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park. The park offers a beautiful nature trail and its own museum inside the visitor center commemorating the site of the Battle of 1835.
