Cadillac is known for its luxurious finishes and elegant design, which is now coming to life in the new Shanghai Cadillac House. This new building is being seen as an embassy for the luxury brand in its biggest global market — China.
The Shanghai Cadillac House stretches over 21,000 square feet. It is a jewel-shaped building that utilizes innovative architecture elements and out-of-the-box designs to offer consumers museum-like, interactive exhibits and the chance to see the latest Cadillac vehicles.
“This sophisticated setting represents another important chapter for Cadillac,” said Mary Barra, General Motors Chairman and CEO. “Cadillac is fully determined to affirm its status as the pinnacle of luxury and technology.”
At this new building, consumers can begin their journey learning about the history and heritage of the Cadillac brand, which is highlighted on the first floor. This floor also showcases the brand’s partnerships with other designers. The second floor is a tribute to the brand’s innovative technologies, while the third floor houses an auditorium and a VIP lounge.
This high-end building is located across the street from the SAIC-GM Cadillac plant. It will also give customers a chance to watch their vehicle being assembled and receive their vehicle in a special ceremony that involves a turntable in the center of a fountain just outside of Cadillac House.
