And, best of all, the brand recently announced that several Super Cruise updates to improve connectivity and the driving experience for users.
According to The News Wheel, Cadillac is giving vehicles over-the-air software updates using an in-car 4G LTE network. The Cadillac CT6 is always online in some sense, which allows your vehicle to stay safer than ever thanks to these tweaks. Additionally, Cadillac executive chief engineer Brandon Vivian notes that the Super Cruise system also has segment-leading security and encryption technologies.
Super Cruise technology uses nearly 130,000 miles’ worth of data to make smart driving decisions. Even though its current version is impressive, Cadillac is considering adding more functions to it in the future, such as road-sign and traffic-signal recognition.
Currently, the Super Cruise system is limited to the CT6, though you can soon expect to see access to this advanced tech on the 2020 CT5, which is set to release later this year. After that, Cadillac will introduce a Super Cruise-capable model every six months through 2021.
