Cadillac Is Investing $20 Million in Texas Plant.
The Cadillac brand has long been seen as the epitome of American luxury, with one of its popular luxury vehicles being the Cadillac Escalade. Now, Cadillac is investing $20 million in its Arlington Assembly Plant in Texas and preparing for the fifth generation of the Cadillac Escalade.
Arlington Assembly currently produces many large-scale SUVs, including the Cadillac Escalade. The $20 million will be used to help develop the latest Escalade and new full-size SUVs. There are also rumors that a new Escalade may arrive for the 2021 model year, though there is still no confirmation about an update.
Since 2015, investments of over $1.4 billion have gone into the plant. This money has paid for new body and paint shops as well as major upgrades for the general assembly area. This plant has also gone gree by focusing on a zero-emissions strategy and accordingly runs entirely on wind energy.
We at Plaza Cadillac are excited about the addition of the 2020 Cadillac Escalade. We encourage you to test-drive one of the many great vehicles on our lot and see which one is right for you.
