The Chicago Auto Show can to a close last week, but not before the Cadillac CTS walked away with a few honors. The CTS has several different variations from Coupe to Sedan to Wagon, and a performance-minded V Series of each. Throughout the years, many of the different versions of the CTS have won different awards, this year was no different with several of the variations coming home winners.
MotorWeek named the Cadillac CTS coupe a 2012 Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Sport Coupe, and Autobytel named the CTS Wagon 2012 Wagon of the Year.
MotorWeek, which airs weekly on PBS, chose the CTS Coupe from a long list of over 150 different cars across 14 lifestyle categories, which were reviewed by a team of 15 judges from MotorWeek’s staff. The show says decisions were based on performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and dollar value.
“The CTS Coupe outshines its competition when it comes to style comfort and performance,” MotorWeekHost John Davis said.
The CTS Wagon, which won for Wagon of the Year, was given the award based on its aggressive styling, touch-screen navigation system, optional all-wheel drive and enhanced ride-and-performance options.
“The utilitarian Cadillac CTS sport wagon is a luxurious solution to versatility,” said Michelle Naranjo, Autobytel editor in chief.
