Last year, Cadillac won the North American Car of the Year Award by a landslide with its 2013 ATS. This year, the automaker is well on its way to another victory with the award-winning 2014 CTS sedan. It was one of three cars nominated as finalists earlier this month.
In this unique competition, automotive journalists in various media outlets from the U.S. and Canada vote for their favorite new or “substantially changed” vehicles. These vehicles grabbed their attention by demonstrating excellence in “innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and value for the dollar.”
General Motors saw three vehicles named to North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists.
“Today’s announcement is proof we’re on the right track,” said Mark Reuss, GM North America’s president. “It’s gratifying to see the experts agree that we’re offering customers one of the strongest lineups of cars and trucks available on the market.”
The winners will be announced on Jan. 13 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
With a win for the CTS, we at Plaza Cadillac know it would be the beginning of a wonderful Cadillac year.
