If you didn’t already know, Cadillac has a series of vehicles called the V-Series that are essentially street legal race cars. Just so you can get a better idea of what these cars are capable of, the 2013 Cadillac CTS-V features a 556 HP V8 engine that can go 0-60 in an astonishing 3.9 seconds.
Well Cadillac just recently made an announcement that they would debut a new series of vehicles bearing the name Vsport. The Vsport series will be somewhere in between normal Cadillac vehicles and the V-Series when it comes to both power and price.
As the title of this blog indicates, the Vsport will be making its debut on the 2014 Cadillac XTS and will feature several changes that are not currently available on the 2013 XTS. For starters, the 2014 XTS Vsport option will feature a 410-horsepower V6 engine. But that’s only the beginning. See below for a few more things you can expect to see on the 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport:
- Beefed-up connecting rods and pistons
- A plethora of cooling, ducting and covering to keep the car quiet and refined
- New cylinder block casting
- Overhauled direct injection fuel injection system
