With most of 2011 behind us, we can see what a great year it has been for Cadillac. Among the CTS family of cars, which includes the CTS Sedan, Coupe, and the V-Series models of each, sales are up 30% in 2011 and SRX sales are up 10%. Cadillac says that both of these cars rank among the 10 best-selling luxury models for the year.
Overall Cadillac sales are up 6% this year, lead heavily by the 15th consective month of sales increases for the race-inspired V-Series. These are great numbers for the Cadillac brand and it is all thanks to you, the loyal Cadillac buyer.
2012 is looking to be even bigger for the American luxury brand. First to debut will be the full size XTS luxury sedan, which will make its first public appearance at the LA Auto Show later this month. The XTS is expected to go on sale in early 2012. Later in the year Cadillac will release its highly anticipated BMW 3-Series and Audi A4 killer, the ATS. The Cadillac ATS, will be similar to the CTS but will be noticably smaller to cater to the compact luxury market that BMW and Audi currently own with the aforementioned models.
Also leading the charge this year was the revamping of the Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program. According to Intellichoice the Cadillac CPO program now ranks ahead of BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. To qualify for the program vehicles must first pass a vehicle history review and a 172-point inspection. This year Cadillac has nearly doubled dealer participation and has seen an increase of 30% in CPO cars in dealership inventories. For buyers, the Certified Pre-Owned Program adds a host of services and warranties that rival new cars. Cadillac CPO buyers enjoy, Cadillac Roadside Assistance, Cadillac Courtesy Transportation and an extension of the factory warranty to 6-years or 100,000 miles. Buyers also get treated to a free three month trial of OnStar Directions and Connections and SiriusXM satellite radio with the Everything Package.
For those of you that think that an American luxury car can’t compete with the German brands, take a look at the new Cadillac CUE system that has experts in a frenzy. Cadillac is building cars that are better than ever before. Not only are they more powerful, for those that enjoy the roar of the engine, but they are more reliable and safer.
