Here at Plaza Cadillac we can’t wait to see the new XT5, the replacement for the SRX. Although little has been released about the new model, it promises to be a high-performance luxury crossover that will blow drivers away.
According to GM Authority, the XT5 will most likely utilize a brand new GM platform, one used solely for front-wheel drive cars. A short wheelbase is expected for the new model, giving it a distinct look while retaining optimum handling capabilities.
With a sloping rear figure, the new Cadillac XT5 design is similar to that of current hatchback models. Its four-door design will be large enough for at least five passengers, with plenty of leg room to spare. An aggressive front grille was spotted in spy pictures, revealing a surprisingly rugged design for the new model.
Under the hood the XT5 is bound to be a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with a V-6 option. Although some of you performance junkies may be disappointed by this, don’t be; the turbocharged 4-cylinder will most likely be borrowed from the ATS and CTS models, both of which have plenty of horsepower. The XT5 promises to impress any driver with its styling, luxury, and performance.
