The Cadillac sedans have always been the pinnacle of luxury but it’s no secret they’ve been falling behind when it comes to power. Other luxury brands offer more power than Cadillac but that’s all about to change. Now, in 2016, Cadillac is pumping out its most powerful cars yet.
The Cadillac V-Series power is unmatched among luxury brands. The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V shows its dominance with an enormous 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine under the hood.
If that sounds familiar, you’re probably thinking of the Corvette Z06. The CTS-V’s engine is a modified version of the classic sports car’s engine. In all, the CTS-V outperforms the competition, boasting an incredible 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque.
Meanwhile, the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V sheds 400 lbs and a foot in length. It’s a few inches lower to the ground and pops with 18-inch wheels. Under the hood is a 3.6-liter twin turbocharged V6. That monster pumps out 464 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque.
The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V starts at just under $84,000 while the smaller ATS-V runs at just under $63,000. Comparable German models can cost 10% more than the 113-year-old brand’s new powerhouses.
We here at Plaza Cadillac are pumped to get behind the wheel of the new and improved V-Series!
